Useful with weaknesses. Disrupts 5GHz WLAN

I bought with this vacuum cleaner robot, so he helps me clean my apartment. At first I was quite taken with him. It sucks reasonably tidy and I have therefore no longer so often perform basic cleaning. It is gentle on the furniture and brakes well before it touches you. So far so good.

However, it is very loud and I can not have him in the room when I'm going. Also the cleaning of very small dust container is always a tedious thing. My wife finds it even more complex clean up the Roomba, as to suck itself. You have to remove all the brush, cut out the hair with the included blade, empty the dust and clean the container thoroughly. Since you're already working 15 minutes.

The battery lasts about 1 1/2 for large spaces, then it needs to be recharged. The reason is that the Roomba very chaotic travels through the rooms and thus takes a long time to clean a room.

Another shortcoming is its height. He is just so high that it fits under an old radiator fins. The little "look-out", which he forwards it, but does not fit under it. The company iRobot conceals an essential feature of the Roomba: All Roomba models have a transmitter module that sends the 5 GHz band. This is nowhere described! I've only noticed the fact that my wireless that I operate in the 5 GHz band, is always collapsed when the Roomba sucked. The reason for this is that the Roomba broadband in 5 GHz band transmits at high power. It bothers all WLAN frequencies of 5 GHz band. The iRobot Support told me to demand that there is a transmission module in all Roomba models that you can not switch off, can still expand. The fact that there is the transmitter module is, as I said, never described.

I would not have bought the device, if I had known that the Roomba is this radiation by itself and I think that iRobot is obliged to draw attention to this fact.

Due to the good cleaning performance and the weaknesses with the lengthy cleanup and the loud sound I had awarded 3 stars. Because of the undocumented and not disconnectable 5 GHz radio module, which interferes with the wireless massively, there is of me only one point.
