Very good camera but underground App ...

I take pictures with a variety of cameras for more than four decades. Since sometime with several lenses walked me entrainment a complete Spiegelreflexkamera- equipment on my nerves, I was very early with different bridge and superzoom cameras from different manufacturers (Olympus, Fuji, Panasonic, Sony) set apart. Well aware that this course represents a compromise between flexibility and quality, I just came on the road, with this most handy devices (most I have, moreover, still is) always very good deal. For presentations on the national TV, to create slide or video shows and photo books these things usually rich today pending. In 1: 1 image sections or low light conditions it is naturally very difficult with these devices. However, I am also searches not the pixel Fetishes of each image with a magnifying glass!
When I got the NX300m by chance once in your hands, I was due to the size, the material quality, the appealing price (incl. Full version Lightroom, etc.) and especially the very good haptics (other "Compact" are much worse in the hand ) very pleased. Then when I got to test the good part a little bit the opportunity I was excited both by the operator and, above all of the image quality immediately. The "touch focus" is awesome for an individual art work and works quite accurately. In addition, the touch panel facilitates the entire work and the workflow.
Having made NX300m incl. Kit lens 16-50mm I then bought me, many I had quickly the old things one with which I used to, of course, manually or semi-automatically, photographed. I bought an adapter for a few euros and was able in this way partly my more than 30 years old "Pentax_K lenses" back to life. Of course, almost anything Manuel (Focus Set, crank the aperture ring, etc.) and without image stabilization. But it's also really fun again without fully automatic (the basic knowledge required) to make his paintings. Of course, the aperture priority mode the camera works even in these old lenses perfectly! Even the preview magnifier to focus adjustment works. One must, however, prior to each triggering the OK button (no problem).

Things got really exciting for me when I discovered by chance an article about "Retro Adapter" on the internet (google times and looks at the "Traumflieger page")! This adapters (available for a little over 10) and possibly necessary appropriate filter adapter rings are the lenses attached to the camera runs around and obtained, provided a little sensitivity, insane macro photos. The smaller the focal length the greater the image. Since then a new additional hobby of mine!
Thus, the NX has become even funnier and more versatile for me and you can see just in this "universe" which is actually possible for a picture with this chip.
So much for the camera itself, as others here have said certainly the most important.

Now to the much advertised "Smart Camera App". This is not really suitable for NX300m in my view. In contrast to the extensive functions such as are activated when the NX30, this tool has come trimmed with this camera that you can actually finds only the automatic mode in remote operation. All other functions are easily hidden. This I feel as huge impertinence, because it is probably probably give no update since for months not even everything is translated (Greek letters tangle in spite of the few existing functions).
Just shoot at night or my aforementioned macro shots are not made in the automatic mode and require a longer exposure time due to, among others things an external trigger. Since then only remains an expensive external remote control, or going through the self-timer. In addition, I would have this tool a way desired "Timelapse" So to create time-lapse photography. With Sony z. B. there is something free for all cameras with Wifi (eg also for Comsumer-HX50V camera).
I do not know where to complain or can put pressure on the manufacturer, but this fact has me in the favor of the company. Samsung (own some equipment) rather weakened and this reason alone I forgive, I also "only" 4 stars for the total package ! When the great miracles still to be done that one assumes this app or the appropriate firmware for NX300m, I will forgive also the last star to my knowledge currently acquired.
PS Samsung should perhaps revise the offer of flash units. Since there is nothing in terms of performance, price, this concept fits!
