My first impression of the box: The monitor is well made, settled up slightly and the Stand is stable and firm. It comes with everything on cable (HDMI, Dual Link DVI, ...) here as well as the NVIDIA 3D Eyewear.
The picture is very clear, strong and sharp, but you should adjust the preset brightness, because the monitor will start at its full strength. This can be done at the bottom right adjustable via touch menus themselves or through the supplied ADM software from Acer (which provides additional settings).
The monitor can be operated in two modes 2D / 3D with 120Hz.
The 3D setup is very quick to set up, if you have already installed the latest Nvidia drivers. This is just the 270.61 WHQL. As of this driver all the necessary components for 3D Vision are included, one must therefore nothing further to install. The IR emitter for 3D Vision is integrated in the upper edge of the monitor.
In the NVIDIA Control Panel monitor was directly detected (NVIDIA Monitor transmits data such as switching times etc directly into their drivers a) and the setting up of 3D übern the wizard was a breeze. There are briefly checked the settings, a 3D vision test performed and hey presto 3D Vision is operational. Sorry AMD, but on the other hand you have simply nothing to offer, NVIDIA simply provides a round-functioning package.
My personal impression of 3D Vision is ... with this 27 "monitor .... just awesome. In games like BFBC2, Crysis 2, Prototype, Mafia 2, Just Cause 2, ... one feels a new game feeling makes a lot of fun.
The large viewing area makes here certainly made some.
The only drawback (if one may call it that) is the 16: 9 resolution. If you have worked for years with 16:10 (1920x1200), it is at the beginning a little getting used to 1920x1080, I think it shows the lack of area already. But have me very quickly accustomed and feel it is no longer necessarily a disadvantage.
Priced seen the Monitor at first sight is certainly not cheap.
However, if you take a closer look anything like 120Hz, LED, 27 ", ... and incl. NVIDIA 3D Vision with glasses into perspective the price.
Altogether seen can recommend this monitor like.
