Delighted I kept Birthday the game in his hands. But already after 10 minutes came disillusionment? What was going on? Well, the story is even more momentum. Forget it. The story is from the beginning very weak and riddled with logical errors and do not fit together kind actions. Especially the hochgeprisenen Foreign Missions with Desmond make themselves short, boring and linear. The promised "showdown" is sobering. The end is not experienced many lovers and leaves an involuntarily remember Mass Effect 3. It seems too short to hinge claps to arbitrarily. "That's now been so? Just like that?", I thought. The spectacular fights are unfortunately just as boring. The combat system is very similar to the new Batman parts. Even by most units you can simply kill. Secret stalking and silent doing the mission objectives will not make so much sense, if by fighting is much easier. The epic battles on the battlefield, as in advertising, there is no contrast. The vast world is unfortunately totally useless for the most part and only provides for long walking distances. For the story (which is strictly linear) one needed more than 1/3 of the city area. The rest is most interesting for Erkunderer and for the numerous side missions that really primitive type (pick-bring, kill this, hunt that animal), variety is different. While trying the side missions will be packed in nice stories, but unfortunately they are also completely useless or irrelevant to the main story and the aforementioned running paths are very long. The economic system lacks, unfortunately, any benefit, because you do not need new equipment (you can buy them in part, but is useless) and you already earned by the main missions enough money. Utility objects can be removed dead enemies. The vaunted naval battles are spectacular indeed, but unfortunately also boring and monotonous. One wonders at some point what you have actually purchased a sailing simulator or Assassin's Creed. Unfortunately, the collection of feathers and special items has no particular benefit. Also completing optional objectives in the main missions ("100% synchronization") carries no particular use, except that they fill a numerical scale. Here I would have hoped for but somehow more for my troubles.
Conclusion: What happened? The previous parts have yet shown how to do it right. How to build a fantastic story, full of atmosphere builds a Charachter, with which one can identify with. In addition to a charismatic Ezio Auditore, Connor looks more like a washcloth. Of the dozens of observation towers that you had to climb before you needed now just a handful. Evocative side orders for the acquisition of new equipment: None. Boston and New York seem generally very cold and do not pose a bit of the atmosphere of Rome, Istanbul, Florence and Venice in itself. The many playful possibilities unfortunately degenerated into a joke considering the fact that it is much easier to simply wade. But the ethical and moral aspect, the Assassins' Creed 1 yet so very distinguished, has now been completely lost. The whole game looks more like a father-son conflict. Connor is not the Brotherhood to the side and is always a lone wolf. The feeling to be part of something big falls completely away. Frequently one doubts Connors true motives. Meeting with important people of that time, are mostly short and meaningless.
