The first time you use a PSU I ever broke the same in the first 2 hours of use, even though the Power Banks have been only partially discharged, and although I always use a surge protector.
But INTECRO has the defective power cables replaced immediately free -> 5 stars for the service!
The manual falls meager for my taste.
(See below for "Beware:")
However, the use is self-explanatory - there is a single power button, just like a switch 9V / 12V. The charging status is indicated by 4 blue LEDs on top of the compact, slightly rounded housing.
The specified capacity seems realistic - a 37Wh / 10Ah battery can deliver at 5V computationally maximum 7,4Ah. A tablet or a smartphone, you can go with it several times (depending on the size 2-4x, tested) to recharge.
The original power supply are at various travel adapter to plug in it outside Europe can.
Of particular note is the practical, built-in 9V / 12V 2A output with 2.5mm socket for hollow plug. As hoped, so this is also usable with the 5V USB output. A matching barrel connector cable is included along with some adapters to operate small devices with 12V / load.
A deduction from the maximum point number there yet:
1. The indication "2 * USB 5V / 2100mA" on the nameplate is wrongly formulated and is not satisfied:
While the Power Bank has 2 USB ports, but you can either invite my smartphone or my tablet. But not both at once what I would, however, according to the data "2 * USB 5V / 2100mA" expect. The Power Bank immediately switches off due to overload, once both devices are simultaneously trying to load itself. The power supplies of smartphone / tablet are: 5V 1800mA and 2000mA 5V - hence the Power Bank can total well only "1 * 5V 2100mA, spread over 2 USB ports" issue, rather than 2x2100mA.
2. Unfortunately, the self-shutdown of the XTPower® MP-10000 only at 50mA is sensitive and can not be disabled.
If my AV4ms (NiCd / NiMH charger for round cells with 12V DC-IN), the batteries go either discharges or only rated, rather than deliver charging current to batteries, so the Power Bank switched easily from saying what a complete ( unloading) Loading of good batteries mobilizes impossible to 1st view. (Minimum power consumption AV4ms = approx 45 mA at 12V DC - ie just below the fixed 50mA limit.)
One remedy is to refer to the 5V USB power also, so that the power does not shut off bank, which has the disadvantage that it requires an additional consumer of additional discharges the Power Bank.
3. The failures listed first in 2 of 3 power supplies.
On the one hand I would therefore now deduct 2 points in total, on the other hand gave me INTECRO informed that that is parked with the Netzeil failures now.
The delivered spare PSUs seem to prove it.
And then there are the findings which are perhaps arisen precisely because of the power supply failure:
With the included adapter, a 12V 2A power supply with 2.1 / 2.5 mm hollow plug can be used.
In order for the Power Bank can then even serve as a small 5V + 9V / 12V UPS!
If the load on the 5V and / or the 9V / 12V output is available, so this is simply powered by the 12V power supply without the Power Bank would be discharged by itself, or even set their own store.
If the 12V Netzeil accidentally unplugged or enters a power outage, so there are 5V and 9V / 12V on.
With only a 12V 2A power adapter for XTPower® MP-10000 Power Bank I can thus, for example, both the AV4ms (NiCd / NiMH charger for round cells of Accu-Select.de, Max. 1.5A power supply at 12V) as also operate a Raspberry Pi Linux minicomputer to load data recording (USB 5V 1A) together, without me having to be worried about a power failure or short-term accidental disconnect.
The AV4ms and the Raspberry PI work so days in succession and protected against power outage without the Power Bank is particularly heated or another behavior than with the original power supply.
--------------------------
But be careful:
--------------------------
The UPS functionality is described in the lean manual, nor expressly prohibited.
However, the manual asks explicitly that only the original power adapter is used to charge!
The included power supply but I would only use for charging. (Without UPS consumers at the Power Bank!)
Use of the Power Bank with a foreign power supply, however, should be done only at your own risk. It must be ensured that the polarity of the desired power supply is correct -> before remeasuring!
--------------------------
So again in brief:
XTPower® MP-10000 Power Bank is not perfect, but close - 4 points. 5
