It happens that I first saw the film by Nicole Garcia: I enjoyed its realization, assembly, actors ... I wanted to read the book of Emmanuel Carrère: I ' I could not stop reading. Both are very successful and the result is more a great pleasure to think about the "differences" between the two: the choice of one and the other are quite relevant and clear. Both the work of the writer from the actual fact (which had stunned and left us in a complete misunderstanding at trial, reported by the press) that the working script that was reconstructed from this book are all quite exciting to follow in both forms of work. As this is in no way a tragedy that could be told in a neutral, we remain attentive during the film the way he treats his subject, in the same way that we remain vigilant during playback to warnings that the author continues to express itself from its "cursed" main character. A key challenge for the writer as for the director, but with different means, was to navigate between the Charybdis of rejetante demonization and the Scylla of compassionate identification. Bravo and thank you.
