I turn off my cell phone at night and I was looking for a clock allowing me to see the time. I think the lighting in most night clocks is too strong and is disturbing to sleep. This product is great, that's exactly what I was looking for, it displays the time at night when I press a fairly large button on the top of the clock and lighting stops after a few seconds and does bother me more night. Of course the day time is apparent. I am not using other features, eg the alarm clock so I can not evaluate. He walks on battery which is very good, it avoids yet another cable that audience behind. The date is displayed against a US version. Well, very satisfied for what I need
