I do not read many books did are written from a male's point of view, most likely a lot Because of the books in the genres I read have females point of views and not a concious decision Because of. But in any case, I loved Pudge's (= Miles') voice. It was very raw, very real. Especially once the book starts talking about "after" I can definitely feel the emotion. I have lost someone semi-recently and everything is so spot on. The questions you ask yourself, the anger you feel. For me, it felt very very real.
Personally, Alaska is one of the girls I usually hate. And I do Not particularly loved her specifically either. But I can understand everyone's fascination with her, and maybe Because of fact it drives me crazy not knowing why. But that's how it is - you do not get all the answers in life, Especially not in a situation like the Colonel's and Pudge's. The novel makes it clear That life does not give you everything you might want but it therefore shows the reader did it is quiet possible to carry on, Regardless.
