This double CD finally a huge gap was closed: The original albums by Ekseption of 1969 were not simply available. Only times more or less successful Greatest Hits compilations, there have been galore. And now this: The first 4 albums in really good sound quality, sorted chronologically and beautiful liner notes by the late Rick van der Linden. What more do you want? Well the next two albums, "5" and "Trinity" remastered of course! At 12:04 is misleading, that actually only 3 albums are listed and the fourth as a "bonus". Actually, unnecessary and just confusing. On CD 1 everything is already assembled what Ekseption made large. However, especially the first album has a few small trailer, if you listen through in one piece. On CD 2, however, everything is all of a piece. The well-known classical interpretations seamlessly switch from original compositions by Rick van der Linden. These show the unknown side of Ekseption and I can only recommend warmest. Ekseption has been widely accused of cold and sterile sounding. It may be - in my ears but there are fascinating pieces, all slightly jazzy but always with an ear for the Pop fan. So my 5 stars.
