4 Port Raid with Sil3114 chip - for me just right

My motherboard has unfortunately only two SATA ports. Two other hard drives I've had connected with a USB adapter, but again made problems. It does not come to me on great speed or even RAID. I just needed more SATA ports.

the product itself:
PRO:
- Price / performance is good (about 12).
- Built-in was smooth.
- Was immediately detected after the BIOS screen when you first booted and could also rein in the SATA card BIOS.
- In the Windows has detected new hardware - the driver I got from the mini-CD taken. Later I have even newer downloaded from SIL.

CON / Neutral:
- It's probably just a software RAID. For the price, I also did not expect more and I no longer need. Only if someone probably more speed needs etc, one should look for a product hochpreisigerem.

Seller was with me "XRP International" which consists of China supplies (-> Delivery hours).
