Dark Souls Windows 8 - Games for Windows Live - Troubleshooting * With other Game for Windows Live Games *

The only thing that bothers me is the bad programming / porting.

I want the recession to help those who have problems with Windows 8 for Game for Windows Live.

For me it was the following problems:

1. Dark Souls Starts in windowed mode and the screen remains black.
2. Dark Souls will open a new window and link to me only in the Microsoft Store.
3. Dark Souls takes 5-7 minutes before it starts.

Step 1.

Invites you the current Games for Windows Live client

Step. 2

Uninstall the Game for Windows Live
under: For Win 8 at the bottom left corner right click -> Programs and Features-
-> Then the following uninstall:

* Microsoft Games for Windows - Live Redistributable
* Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace

Step. 3

Restart PC

To step 4.
Now go to the download folder where Game for Windows Live client is.
(Click on the bottom left of the standard yellow folder in the groin and left the third icon from the top Download)

Right-click now on the Game for Windows Live Client -> then above the second tab click Compatibility -> now the rake run for when the program in compatibility mode: Windows 7 select and then almost below the Harken sat at privilege level: Run this program as administrator and take on and click OK.

To step 5.

Now comes in the Steam folder C: / Program Files x86 / Steam / SteamApps / cammon / Dark Souls Prepare to Die / DATA /

there are the following files:

* DARKSOULS.EXE
* DATA.EXE

again right click on the DARKSOULS.EXE and DATA.EXE -> then up the second tab click Compatibility -> now the rakes in the program in compatibility mode for running: Windows 7 and then almost below the Harken sat at privilege level: Run this program as an administrator and Apply and click OK.

Now If DarkSouls super run on Windows 8.

The process should also work with other Games for Windows Live games.
