Lords of the Fallen Limited Edition (Video Game)

Customer Review

In fact, I could make a long story short: Who "Dark Souls" like, will certainly also his joy in "Lords Of The Fallen" have. ESL is namely something like a successful copy of the infamous game. In other words: This is an action RPG with really high degree of difficulty, the difference is not as high as with inhuman "Dark Souls" - although just really goes quite different (fortunately?).

You take on the role of the convicted criminal Harkyn, and you have the nasty demonic opponents verplätten one. That is really the whole reduced to the essentials of action. Regardless of a significant story has "Dark Souls" also do not. "Lords Of The Fallen" also survived by his dark fantasy atmosphere - and the sense of achievement that one has when one is progressing. Harkyn can be assigned to a kick-off class. The player has the (fed donor reasonably fairly unoriginal) choice whether his character rather strong, but behäbigere Haudrauf or slightly faster, but more vulnerable type should be. Oh yes, there's also magic. Either way, however, is not Harkyn Wiesel nimble nature, the fighting always require a lot of patience. The opponents focus, dodge, block, strike - so it runs mostly from. Always keep in mind you have this endurance indicator, because every Dodge, each blow and each blow thwarted enemy reduces the own endurance. If this is used up, you stand there completely defenseless. The choice of weapons is also important: Should it be more of a light, the less damage, the bat but it runs fast, or rather needs a heavy model, the pure skin properly, but a felt half an hour for a hit? Of course, heavy weapons are tempting, but bring them nothing when the enemy one a series of punches missed while you yourself still striking out, thereby being vulnerable.

Especially when multiple enemies auftrauchen at once, it can already be very tricky. Because unfortunately also makes the problem with the focus of a button noticeable: Not always the enemy remains focused, which one would like to have. The bosses act completely overpowering at first sight, likely to die in the first attack attempt; but at some point (with lots and lots of patience) you get each attack patterns and know how to help each other. Of course, are each killed enemy experience points that you can use to level up. One dies, however, review the items -as in "Dark Souls" - once lost. However, they can collect back within a certain time when you last the bucket. However, then also all enemies are back. Speaking: This shows that "Lords Of The Fallen" is not quite as mercilessly as "Dark Souls". You can use memory points to dump the accumulated experience and replenish the vital energy. But that does not lead to the enemy respawn fortunately. The disadvantage of using the memory point: The more opponents you kill without saving, the more experience you get. So there weighing is announced. My advice, however, is that one should never be too greedy.
The gameplay is more linear than the corner of "Dark Souls", where you have more or less get along completely without evidence. There are clearly specified objectives, and although there are sometimes multiple ways to get there, the areas still remain relatively manageable. Ever is the whole territory in the realm of "Lords Of The Fallen" not huge, and some areas are still to repeatedly traversed. The number of items and the system upgrade weapons and armor are substantially reduced as the larger model. Ever play "Dark Souls" overall in a higher league than his clone - my opinion.

Visually, "Lords Of The Fallen" quite pretty, although there aufploppende textures here and there. The music is excellent, which is why the purchase of the Limited Edition loht: In addition to the download code for extras like special combat equipment of the soundtrack is namely in CD form. The gameplay is, as already mentioned, very sedate, the fights require a lot of patience. Just a whirlwind and slap means their own demise. Each step will be well thought out, because it could be the last. So if you want to engage in a challenge, a healthy dose of masochism brings and Dark Souls in terms of difficulty perhaps still too much perceived as a bit is correct in "Lords Of The Fallen". Those who prefer simple games and throw away the gamepad immediately frustrated when they fail after a few tries, they should definitely prefer orient otherwise.
