4 stars = Like (now with quieter beep!)

I use the TWK8611 (white model) for about 1 1/2 years. The best kettle I have ever had. Enough volume for a large pot of tea, enough power for fast boiling, easy to clean and of course the temperature setting (60 ° C for Japan Green Tea, 70 ° C for China Green Tea, 80 ° C for Oolong and 90 ° C for black and coffee). The keep-warm function I do not use. The design is a matter of taste ... I like it, even if the "stainless steel application" is sensitive when it comes to fingerprints and the handle slightly obscured the level indicator.

I would therefore be inclined 4-5 stars to give, if not would be here so often mentioned beep which are in my opinion at least 2 points deduction! A beeping when it reaches the desired temperature does still make sense, but why when you turn (if you turn on him by mistake?) And why the premature shutting companies from the base (???)? Moreover, it is too loud. In particular, the morning after getting up early it has annoyed me. But now, with a small baby in the house, he was barely acceptable (baby sleeps in the room next to the kitchen). Therefore, something had to happen:

As you can hopefully see from the attached pictures, it's not so hard to get the beeping softly:

The four safety screws on the bottom to solve (this is an appropriate "Spanner" -Sicherheitsbit required), two screws are hidden under the upper rubber feet, which are easy to pry.
Then with a little tact to terminals on the white plastic lid loose (be careful that you do not scratch the case) and it presents itself to the small "speaker" on the board front right. Since I did not want to completely give up the beeping, I steamed with a little duct tape. Is now much quieter and heard only in the kitchen but not in the nursery.
