Pleasant, bright light, like the earlier 40W bulbs. The crown lights and looks beautiful. Stable housing, good viewing angle. Note: pear has just the strength of 40 W - not bright! The crown makes subtle light pattern onto the ceiling or wall or lampshade. So it's rather decorative light when the bulb is to act for themselves, less working or desk light. My pear bitchy in a lamp that was connected to a motion detector (basic dimming ??).
