5 stars for pressure - 4.5 Star Scanner

The unit is very well packaged and protected with foil against accidental scratching. First, the shipping bolts must be removed, the print head and the cartridges are used. After that you can start directly on the device with the configuration.

+ Integration into the secured WiFi - could not be better!

The inclusion in the WLAN is possible very easy and in three different ways (input manually and with "push" connection and with an identification number). Since my router does not support the last two versions I have made the input manually. If one has recognized the principle of control keys, this is an easy exercise and after a few minutes, the Wi-Fi is available.
The printer can also Wireless N (802.11n)

+ Installation - simple and clean - also for Apple users

Insert the CD into the drive and installing the gewünschen programs perform (with me only drivers and CD-Printer) and after a few minutes, the printer is ready for use. During the installation you will be asked whether the printer is in use locally or on the network.
I have given NETWORK. After the printer has been taken cleanly in the network. My computer is running Windows 7 32 bit.
By the way: Apple users are also well served with this unit. A separate CD for Apple users is annexed. In a joint household Apple is now also connected to the printer wireless.

+ Pressure - convincing

I had read the PIXMA 4500 with the printouts I was very pleased.
The pressure of the new Canon PIXMA MG 5250 is better than that of my predecessor in the text area, in my opinion.
The photo print is also better (finer in resolution) than my predecessor

+ CD printing
I was of the opinion that one can not completely print on CDs / DVDs with CD-LabelPrint from Canon.

Thanks to "Silentbob" who posted me the following information about CD-LabelPrint:
"You may very well fully printed CDs / DVDs With Canon CD LabelPrint.
Just choose File-New paper filter. Then you can create and name the DVD with the desired dimensions. (Outside = 118mm, internal = 21 mm) "

I've tried that and it works really great.
So also CD printing smooth 5 Stars.

+ Scan (also via wireless network possible !!)

In scanning the area I was first disappointed. The scans were colorless and had grids.
The automatic improvements brought little success. Manual corrections scanner driver brought improvements, but not delivered the desired quality from me.
But then I changed in the driver settings in Preferences -> Color Settings the value for the screen gamma value to 1.45 and the scans were as I have wished - hence correcting the rating to 4.5 stars (previously I had Here 3 stars awarded) even when scans.

+ Copy

That to me is the pleasant surprise:
Sheet in the scanner. Select a device "Copy". Possibly set with the setting wheel the number of copies and select the "Black" or "Color" button if you want to create color or gray value copies.
Copies can be proud of really.

I have not regretted my purchase.
