The music is titled as world music and is so energigeladen and rhythmic, that it could be quite played well in every nightclub. Especially the influence of the immensely talented MIA on some tracks, makes the song much "younger", so that even I as Electro, R & B and hip-hop fan can say that the music is 1A! Indian music is souped up with modern beats. It can be quite pathetic "the eastern and western culture are combined" call. I especially like the Oscar winning song "Jai Ho" from the final scene of the movie. But "Dreams On Fire" (from the, in my opinion, most romantic and most emotional scene in the film) and "Paper Planes" and "O ... Saya" are top notch.
Conclusion: One of the best movies I have ever seen - with the best film music I've ever heard. The 8 Oscars for music and film are completely justified!
