In this volume, the story led me over, and the pen of the author appealed to me more. Yet it is true, it is 700 pages that merely juggle quarrels and reconciliations, which can easily be boring. However, I much appreciated the characters in this second volume, and I got slightly attached which had not been the case in the first season. Indeed, Tessa seemed a little less naive, stronger, with a greater spread which restored some balance in the couple and I hope the author deepens that side in the next volumes. I admit being afraid in my early reading, because finding a romance with a female character as weak as in the first volume, this would have greatly disappointed me, and I have not pursued my reading. Moreover, I appreciate that not everything revolves more around Hardin for Tessa, who plays personally and professionally.
Hardin meanwhile is still a common man, I have been criticized in the first season. Nevertheless, the author reveals the sensitivity of this character, which allowed me to finally enjoy his personality and tie me. I especially liked to know more about his past and discover his family benefit, to understand that part of him that I liked less, namely aggressiveness and sometimes disproportionate reactions. However, I also love that it assagisse in the next volumes, the trend reverses and Tessa takes over, although this was somewhat the case for this second season. Indeed, over the pages, one saperçoit qu'Hardin really wants change, only, I will appreciate that this really works, which is not yet the case.
What I liked in this sequel is also the introduction of the secondary characters are more present than for the first season. Trevor, Kimberly, Zed and Trith, mother of Hardin, are characters that intrigue me very much and I look forward to seeing in the coming seasons. However, I appreciate Landon, but I find his character napparaît insufficient, or that it plays a role in "rescuing" Tessa, which does not really like it. I also would love that the author introduces his girlfriend in future intrigues, to sow some disorders for example.
Despite this, the story is rather lively and well presented since I struggled to close the book. The erotic scenes are much worked in season 1, they make sense, they are more thorough and proper timing. The end of the story did not disappoint me to speak of, but the end of season 1 had completely convinced me to continue my reading, while for the second season the plot is less strong in my opinion. The series ended in two volumes, I hope the diagram argument / reconciliation is shutting soon Season 3 because I think tired quickly. I also hope to regain the advantage point of view because Hardin chapters devoted to it are fewer and shorter.
In conclusion, I recommend reading this if you're not afraid to face a brick 700 pages and you enjoy romances.
