the subject Powerline splits yes very well the experience.
These times my experience:
Apartment in an apartment house built in 2002
Room 1, A1 connection: double socket, 1x Powerline, 1x junction box for PC, Nas etc. powerline switch to Gbit.
Room 2 Connection A2: double socket, 1x Powerline, 3x junction box for cable modem, Fritz box 3370 and phone
Between Room1 and Room2 is still a room, can be on the same wall side, about 15m away.
So far I had 2 Netgear XAV-1303 in action. ok, Monitor said 100-130mibt, real as 3-4MB.
So MB not Mbit!
Ok, TV Streaming sometimes faltered (NAS depends on other DLAN end), but so test times faster.
First port with a Zyxel PLA5205 kit, so the same times and 600M Gbit, equal times correctly.
Ok, so continue to display at 90-140. Data rate went up 5.3-5.8 MB. But not constant and the PC from the can at the terminal 1, the rate went down to the basement à 3-4MB (poorly shielded?)
A Zyxel PLA4225 500Mbit with 3port Gbit switch was no better at connecting. 1
Then again tested a set Devolo 200 AVmini and AVeasy, similar to Netgear, marginally better.
Thus, the set of 2 Devolo dLAN 500 Powerline duo Starter Kit purchased in MM-range.
100-120Mbit loud Cockbit, Real again as 5.3-5.8 MB When sending A1 to A2. However, from A2 to A1 (as a router to PC), there were suddenly only 3.5MB
----------------------
Test of 650+
Cockpit displays 300/340 Mbit in the best case. But goes down to 260/240 partly.
Data rate A1 to A2: 14-15MB / A2 to A1 12-13MB. That's something. As you notice the difference but then 200 to 650 adapter.
Although the new MIMO 1000Mbit after C't Test 09/2014 are promising, the range seems + really bring what.
