Once complete Sherlock Holmes could one think when he saw the book gondola ...! But it would be wrong because this book really brings something new. We must be grateful to the translator, Eric Wittersheim, having made a clean sweep of all that has preceded and to be scrupulously kept the text of Sir Arthur. That said, the translator, for honesty, we offer alongside the English text and its translation, and so that we can always refer to "the divine word" that is the original. But what is really new here lies the merits of the translation: Eric Wittersheim knew intelligently restore to the French text the qualities of the original. Therefore, we are light years ahead of other translations that appeared to address the youth. Finally, the icing on the cake, the book contains the reproduction of Sidney Paget woodcuts and accompanying text of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in his first publication. Friendly gesture, the editor included with this fine work some postcards, collectible or to send to friends! In short, a MUST !!!!!
