The FM tuner is precise and stable. The storing of stations (FM, Internet) favorite is rather difficult to obtain using the remote control. At first it seems that the device "struggling" to align its list of favorite FM stations "and" internet, in the order you impose. This is certainly even the most sensitive point of the commissioning. To search for Internet radio stations, perhaps is it better to do (after registration) using the vTuner website, which is very well thought out, and I knew also having excellent TerraTec Noxon iRadio for 6 or 7 years (that too, a great buy). Anyway, it's a little "hassle". CD function, however, suffers no criticism.
On my Mac (OSX 10.6.8), after some trial and error on iTunes (11.1.3) I got excellent AirPlay connection between the iMac and CEOL N8. The Denon can even be started in this way for the mac, remote adjusted volume, and navigating in the list of songs on any device, as desired.
For Last.fm and Deezer, do not make illusion, it is not (yet) possible in France. I had accounts without subscription which I hoped to enjoy this Denon, big disappointment. It remains Spotify, but on a subscription fee of course. Hopefully improvements occasionally updates the software, and commercial developments.
Problem-free connection and flawless playback of playlists from an old Sony Walkman, facade. Limited interest, in my opinion, but the youngest certainly appreciate. I have not tested the headphone jack or dock for iPhone and company, this also seems secondary.
Playing music library and a 40m2 4m ceilings, well above the space to that of a studio, the audio quality is frankly with go. I became CEOL N8 on an English site, via amazon.co.uk, to enjoy good price (602, including exchange fees, but delivered only in the UK) the marriage of Denon and a Zensor pair of Dali speakers 1. The result is truly amazing, very present with serious but under control, very fine treble, a powerful but differentiated medium, a nice dynamic overall. My preferred listening to jazz and classical fields (voice, strings) are fully satisfied. I believe that we have here to deal with the real hi-fi, with this combination that qualify as "entry level", so in my opinion unfairly pejorative.
Expect to still spend a few hours to complete and stable device configuration (despite a remote control very good ergonomics, and a very readable display 3 lines) because the manual is supplied on CD not always very legible nor very clear. Provide a large number of round trips between your computer and the Denon, so ... a good pair of shoes. We have quite fumbles, but eventually you get there. Looking back, I feel that the device has gradually learning (remote control, programming radios, mac, etc) in my company.
Now "we get along well," everything works, I'm happy and I can only recommend the acquisition, obviously on Amazon (especially for the quality of delivery, and price). Indeed, with Dali speakers of this quality, the quality / price ratio is very satisfying.
