This book is probably the most brilliant book of my life. I would never have thought it possible that I am actually a book shackles and could never let go - but so it was! Tolkien describes characters and landscape features in such detail that Middle-earth with all its inhabitants in the mind's eye of the reader spellbound actually comes to life - without exaggeration! It is best assured when it simply reads and experienced. Namely, in the original English version, which can be enjoyed even with average knowledge of English. For this I recommend a dictionary and perseverance and ambition. In a book like this one should definitely choose a hardcover edition. This one is particularly beautiful - reinforce the sensitive illustrations and the integrated bookmarks and deepen the magic of this monumental work. I imagine like how I read the book a distant future (I'm 16) will pass on to my children ...
