I bought this book PIC through video view amazon.com, so no surprises. Some technical explanations, materials, where to find resources, transfer, connection, the press but also notions of color and composition. Not too many step-by-step, but the examples are sufficiently revealing. This book inspired me a lot, in fact I did ALL the exercises ie sixty collages! Whether we like it or not the style of this book Randel Plowman really practical utility, for you to create your own style. Simple in appearance but collages that allow you to not be afraid to get started in this art. My favorite exercise is "5-five minute collages": it is to -as the name indique- 5 collages in small format by dedicating 5 minutes each, total 25 minutes. It is cowardly and is created without intellectualizing, without seeking excellence just as a challenge but mostly for fun and the results are amazing right the first time because often it is your subconscious that is expressed. Of course before starting this exercise must have his equipment on the table, ie of small papers, cut-outs, glue, brackets and possibly buffers, etc. I own the first book Plowman "Masters of Collage" -that I love and that was my bedside book for a year- and I subscribe to his blog "collage a day", so when this book was published I I bought it without hesitation.
