A "classic" first-person shooter!

Classic in the sense of, this game would have appeared 10 years ago, it would have received outstanding ratings. But now we have 2012. That's no bad thing because Resistance Burning Skies takes place as uncomplicated as so many representatives of the genre in about a decade ago. Shooting, ducking, jumping, race, pick up ammo, doors open etc. Knowing all very well back then. One might say that this is still the quintessence of a first person shooter. But in the age of HD Graphics (now they are not in every game principle always necessary) it would have been nice at least to put emphasis on the presentation.

Many environment graphics look frumpy, wheels and curves in allgememeinen (not female) are obvious octagons and ground textures look blurry or sometimes indistinguishable from either. Of the scenes I'm beginning not only which are easy to compress pixelated that it is not fun to watch, but we must unfortunately also not abort! Ugh!

The animations of friend and foe is no longer based on the present scale. Often opponents hampeln involuntarily and around aimlessly. Whole animation phases are skipped or suddenly the other person disappears to reappear even after a short time in a different pose (Ellie!). And the AI ​​is doing to the rest. One example is compared to an opponent and the need for at least 2 seconds until he realizes that he is the same pulverized. Or he just posing only and ballert, waiting until one encircled him and demensprechend blow out the light. Technically "outstanding" are more than even the fancy-designed weapons and neat character models. Even music and lighting effects are absolutely worth seeing and hearing.

Despite all these shortcomings Resistance makes fun but because it plays like a first person shooter from the past with some nice touch-screen gimmicks that break is happening something and not be left to perish 0815 shooter. But I prefer the big PS3 Brothers this before here. Are simply a total harmonious. Nevertheless, the times through gamble nice and thanks to or in spite of the flaws / bugs also for a good laugh or two.
