am already since yesterday morning in possession of "Bound in Blood", and I must say the game has become really good. Played 4 hours, and I have to say ... - have until now about 3
Preface:
Presentation and graphics and Atmossphäre are awesome. The scenario is realitv unspent, story mode knows how to engaging and motivating.
Only the control is a bit strange, as opposed to competition shooters like Call of Duty or Far Cry you have to first change here what shoot, aim and terms of weapon switching.
The arsenal ranges from Colts and revolvers over guns to the shotgun. Fixed cannons and Gatling can use also.
The difficulty to "Easy" is for beginners also quite steep, even I had a couple of times kick the bucket in the first level.
Mostly the game is very confusing and unfair, especially when the opponents are in the majority, even in recovery mode, it is not always possible to land a headshot.
Gameplay:
The first two missions are kept a sort of tutorial fairly linear, and later free play is possible.
The first level starts similar to Call of Duty, under the guidance of your superiors you must pave you the way by a trench and your missing brother looking of being held captive by the other side. Similar in a tutorial is a taught here how to shoot, runs, ducks or the Bullet Time mode enabled. (By, it is possible to disable mehere enemies in slow motion) The second level is similar to linear, it is together with his brother's childhood home to visit, of course lots of opponents have already taken hold already on the way there.
But now the real highlight of the game begins. At level 3 a kind of "open-world" scenario begins in which one can pick and choose different level and also between missions. At the beginning of the selected level, you can decide whether you prefer to go bounty hunting with Thomas or with Ray. Thomas is better with the shotgun, Ray for an ace with revolvers. Besides it is necessary to make villains arrest or to save farmers daughters. The western town is alive and designed great. A great new feature or change the offer duels. In some places it is available 12 noon clock man against man unsubscribe duels. Even the Bullet Time mode is fun.
Conclusion:
+ Unused scenario (Western)
+ Atmossphäre and Graphics
+ Open world
+ Motivating story mode
+ 2 selectable characters (shotgun or Revolderheld)
+ Bullet Time mode, and 12 clock noon duels.
- Getting used to control
- Loading and memory points very annoying during the game
- Places unfair and confusing
- No 2 player mode possible (multiplayer only via Internet)
All in all, Bound in Blood is a solid shooter that can accommodate it, despite the annoying loading times and unfair play points with Call of Duty 5. The Western scenario is still relatively fresh and honest who does not always wanted to play Clint Eastwood)
The advantage over Call of Duty is, however, in the open game world, it's fun to storm the saloons and stock up at the gun shop with new ammunition. The possibility of the character selection screen to provide some variation.
1 star deduction there but for the non-existent 2 player mode :(
The creators have managed something new and varied elements in the spent something first person shooter gameplay and install the like. Every first-person shooter has the Fan Call of Duty, Far Cry etc ... like I can only recommend this game.
