Switching time almost exactly like my predecessor Technisat MF4 (simple digital receiver) at about 1 to 1.5 seconds.
For me it was also important that you can dub movies recorded on external media and burn a DVD. The receiver determines the size movies from * ts. In various forums to read from to blatant and complicated procedures. Up to five different programs is spoken there.
But not so with TechniSat.
I recommend to the Technisat Web page to download the Media Port program.
You can connect a USB hard drive to the Technisat receiver naturally. I have my laptop connected to the receiver via the network cable and directly obtain a connection. In MediaPort program clicked DVD creating and going.
After 20 minutes I had a feature film (100 minutes about 3GB) on the laptop. Automatically showed the program then to: demux ", video and audio together," Creating DVD Files "and then I could burn the DVD with Nero Prima..!
Today I have an access point connected to the receiver. Now I can in the house wirelessly access the receiver from all PC's and laptop's.
Incidentally, the hard drive will only be heard when you stand with the ear 40cm above the receiver. At start-up you can hear it a little more. But it runs only when movies are recorded or reproduced.

I'm excited. No bad buy. Price justified.

Two things are misbehaving a bit to me:
A program for creating the list of programs on your PC is still under development at TechniSat. Therefore, you have to establish the order of the programs manually using the remote control. A little awkward, but doable. And it's done so only once.

The receiver has a width of 37cm. The usual width of HiFi components is 43cm. Noticed this difference can be visually but only if all devices are one above the other. And this difference can handle me, because I have acquired an absolute top appliance.
