After a first grip and some test shots: the Powershot SX230 manages, low lights, and it's pretty comfortable with contrasts even stronger (on a children's playground in the sun, for example ). The controls are intuitive (I've made all my settings without consulting the manual), and the jog dial (+ jog wheel) is original and well thought out. As always with the Powershot (but rarely on other compact) was a real manual adjustment mode: aperture priority mode and shutter priority - which are easily adjusted with the wheel, and helps achieve very sharp focus. Only flat in ergonomics: the annoyingly placed flash ... But as it closes, it's not so embarrassing. Good point, however, the flash intensity can be adjusted - as the brightness of the screen, which offers a good viewing comfort. And zoom is amazing for a device of this size. A super compact!
