Nevertheless, I want to briefly describe my experience: with the old system, I was always very satisfied, the image quality was great and the integrated media player has never let me down, as he has played almost all formats without bleating. Since I had no means of comparison, I was always very happy with the surround sound, which I was certainly aware that only by the size of the boxes physical limits were set.
For almost two weeks is in our living room instead the LG system. This is also not difficult to overlook, because the four boxes (surround and front) have completely different dimensions, such as the components of the previous system. However, the look like very good and even if the boxes have to be composed of three parts to me, they make a very strong impression. Subwoofer and center speaker are of size roughly the same as the Samsung plant.
Convenient: Unlike the old system WiFi is built, that is, the additional purchase of a USB WiFi stick is eliminated. I find it interesting that in principle the wireless system for surround speakers is absolutely identical to the Samsung plant: the receiver requires a current connection, the surround speakers are then self-connected instead of the back of the player with this receiver. Short still plugged in at the back of the player, a transmitter module and off you go - the connection worked right away, as is the initial installation of the integrated WiFi.
The menu is of course a change, if you - like me - always had Samsung devices. Difficult to say whether the menu now is confusing or whether it is simply that the structure is just unusual. The Samsung menu is for my taste somewhat logical, but no doubt I'll have me thereto used in a few weeks - really distracting or confusing menu navigation is not, anyway.
In terms of image quality I can not take a final position myself because I do not still have any an ultra high-definition televisions, but only over a Full HD plasma TV. The 4K upscaling I could not test therefore. The normal Blu Ray (also 3D) Playback looks neither better nor worse than on the Samsung plant - this I had not even expected, after all, resolution and conditions are identical. The integrated media player has recognized all connected USB hard drives and play the files without any problems.
In addition to 4K upscaling capability for the future, the second reason for buying was of course the (hopefully) better sound of the system. And at this point I have to pull myself together in order not to go into raptures:
It may be that plants beyond the EUR 1,000 threshold are again a whole different league, but for my needs the sound of the LG system is superior. It has never made me more fun to watch movies at home, in fact, I've had less surround feeling in some cinemas.
The designated on the remote control as a 3D sound mode setting (either music or feature film) - This is just around the 9.1 sound - is truly impressive and the result leaves the old plant in retrospect actually look pretty old. This is achieved in that both the front and surround speakers have an additional small speaker at the top. Due to the different sonic direction with respect to the speakers on the front of a for me immediately perceptible additional spatial sound effect is achieved by.
In order not to annoy my neighbors, I have the bass a little reduced when Subwoofer - insanity, which has the power part.
Even playback of normal stereo TV program sounds very different than on my old system. After only two weeks, I am so spoiled that I no longer want to give the LG system.
Conclusion: I had downloaded and charged me in advance the review in a hifi magazine in PDF. There, the plant had the mark of 1.2 (or 1.3 - heart, I'm not sure) received. Because I feel confirmed me smoothly when people who professionally deal with it and have more opportunities for comparison, come to the conclusion that the facility is probably the best in this price range, which you can buy at present.
I am equally impressed how satisfied!
