A fantastic camera ...

The Lumix LX7 I bought exactly 3 months ago and therefore had to test the camera enough time.
After this time, my first impression to have bought one of the best cameras in the compact segment, has confirmed.
I miss neither my Lumix FZ100 with its huge push even my already sold DSLR - not equipment.
In the FZ100 which actually makes super pictures as long as you not only in iA - photographed mode but in PSMA, I have found that I need very little to push. Most were in my landscaping - and architecture - Photography to practically 95%!
And at least DSLR with 2-3 lenses, you have to screw as needed, she was too heavy for me with extensive hiking tours, above all in the mountains.
Then came the small Lumix LX7.
After so many reviews here on this camera I would not write about the technical details, but more about practical things.
- The feel of the camera is incredibly beautiful, it acts as it is very valuable!
- First of all - this is a camera that wonderful for Lowlight - is suitable shots. The photos are very atmospheric.
- And I have the ISO - limit set to 400 and only 2 -3 times used the flash. The flash is also strong, well-lit, the location, but ... also destroyed the mood, because you can not flash indirectly. If necessary, you can go to ISO 800, I have not used.
- In daylight, must, in my opinion, the built-in ND - filter remain always on, because the camera is so light strongly that the photos are overexposed.
- The autofocus works very quickly and accurately, and with the pressure on the Fn - key can be the focus - point (but not in iA - mode) draw on desired location.
- What some find fault here is not with me applicable: the white balance. So I've never had problems.
- Very nice macro shots.
- For portraits and macros very nice bokeh, so if necessary can make very good free the subject.
- The camera takes beautiful intensely colored pictures, I put the image style to "Vivid".
- The existing scenes I use little except HDR: make already high-contrast images, especially in scenes with bright sunlight and strong shadows.
- In Creative mode, you can various quasi ART - apply filters (if you like).
- The Bidstabilisator works very effectively.
- The zoom is enough for me completely out, because of the architecture - landscape - portrait - and street - photography, the zoom ratio is optimal.
- The much-criticized cover is not something new for me, so am from Nikon - used DSLR and the FZ100, so I do not find disturbing.
- The tripod thread is not in the optical axis - that's right, only in this light intensity and perfect stabilizer I rarely a tripod used and in such cases was always something to help, such as a railing.

For video function, I can not say much because rarely used. A movies but, in the evening in Italy, where I found a karaoke - had filmed singing Hawker, succeeded (certainly not directing à la Spielberg). Also the sound has impressed me.

With so much positive, there are also negative points?
Yes, one I found: that is the battery! The ranges with me for about 200 images. That's why I have yet acquired a replacement battery. One day in Venice, where it is determined what is to take pictures, it has helped me to have the additional power source here.
But that defined my assessment of the camera otherwise.

The only thing I miss about this camera is the much said folding screen, to which I am accustomed at FZ100.

And one more thing on the edge: I do not work for Panasonic (unfortunately in the last time it has become common one so what to insinuate) and this review reflects only my personal impressions about the camera.
