Image quality:
The picture quality is really outstanding. I had the opportunity to compare the image quality (refer always RAW) over a longer period with the Sony Alpha 6000 with 16-70 mm Zeiss lens, Sony RX 1 and Fuji X Pro 1. And almost with horror, I realized that differ processed with Lightroom RAW photos in direct comparison very little. Looking at the photos in a random order, I could often not clearly assign the images the cameras. Only the pictures of the Sony RX1 stung by their sharpness, the colors and bokeh out often. For this camera also has only a 35 mm fixed lens.
Operation:
Annoying I find the adjustment ring on the lens, this is much too sluggish in my copy and has no screening. The optional rubber grip you should treat yourself definitely, because it greatly facilitates handling. A searcher I do not need personally to me is a folding screen as the RX 100 II more important. So you can fine snapshots shoot from the hip, and does not have that "now I take pictures of what" attitude when you hold the camera at eye level. I shoot mostly in P mode with preset ISO area and will not change this setting often, so do not bother me the little buttons on.
The small built-in flash is sufficient to completely. I have the flash intensity one level lowered thus not be outshined faces.
Battery performance:
I can name any number of images that you can shoot with a battery, but felt the battery performance is very good.
Video:
I am not so important, but the small movies from vacation saw on the TV unit very well.
Conclusion:
Very small discreet camera that has proven itself very well in almost all situations with me.
