The book takes the form of a diary, that of Mori, the heroine of the novel. Despite this choice of style that usually repulses me a little, I must admit it does not bother reading and story remains fluid. What really interested me was both the importance and the harmful aspect of the magic in this book. Morwenna, the narrator, is apparently an accomplished magician and saw fairies, but as she herself says everything she does could be considered normal events with perhaps a few coincidences. This leads us to think that everything happens in his imagination and it encapsulates the reality with a magic coat straight out of his imagination. She does not throw lightning or fireballs, she just sees fairies that could be derived from his psyche. In short this constant questioning of the reality of magic and endearing characters who sail around our heroine provide us with exciting reading moments.
