Customer Review

This is an author that I did not know at all when the three previous volumes in this series were published in French by Editions Jai Lu (although I remember seeing one pass coverage with butterfly) and this is a very good surprise. So much so that I think even read the first three novels but rest assured in France they are not published as a series and can, I think, be read independently (dailleurs, it does not bother me even if we perhaps by meeting with secondary characters that they have experienced something and that this is always more fun to know what) (in detail because lauteure is still some reminders that allow us to track perfectly).

It all starts with a shooting on a college campus in the United States lorsquun (or more?) Shooter (s) open (s) the fire and pulls (s) among the crowd détudiants and several casualties. Event unfortunately based on real events as we lexplique lauteure and arriving too often the United States (and elsewhere). Amid the shooting, Sophie, receptionist in a forensic laboratory sen out unscathed but traumatized because she has seen. But mostly, she certain she thinks have on hand an important element in the investigation that the police refuse dentendre and dadmettre. Even Jonah, police and SWAT member being intervened at the scene and investigating now refuses to believe her. Jonah which has already met a few months earlier WHEN IT saved his life in the hands of a murderer larrachant.

Our two heroes already know even sils have not seen since the rescue Sophia. And I have enjoyed this element, this mini-liability between them that fact that they do not meet for the first time and knows that Jonah's past Sophie, which may disturb the material. We are not starting from scratch and everything seems to happen like magic. It is also not a reunion because nothing had happened between them at that time. No, they are just two acquaintances who will get to know better. They form dailleurs a very nice couple, each with its character and wanting to have the last word.

Jai enjoyed the plot of the novel. It all starts with a news item in the United States because unfortunately this kind of fact happens far too often. The investigation then takes us where Laura Griffin is the question that everyone arises every time: Why get up in the morning and decide to go to fire on innocent people? (He was a bit Dailleurs the theme of the moment when I read lai, an episode from Season 2 Chicago PD practically repeated the same lines.) The investigation then starts with the initial findings, the first police responses. First answers that will be completely undermined by the testimony of Sophia. And if behind this barbaric act there was no other thing that unbalanced quun farts a cable?

I liked the twists in the investigation. There is little doubt that he was there something else behind this story but seeing it brought slowly, discover the same time that the police, through their working methods, especially the scientific side of the story (and also see the limits of science by now) was really interesting. I liked humor who was also present, especially through Sophie who does not let himself do and not to do nhésite see all the colors that poor Jonah.

If I have one complaint to the novel, it would end. Throughout the pages, with the action already present, the characters' personalities, I mattendais a really explosive final and I have been a little disappointed. It is good, but not "very" good. Jaurais loved, I do not know, more détincelles, madness, danger, more Drafting (there but he my missed something). But one thing is sure, I will monitor the forthcoming (and old) author of publications.
