The settlers then had an absolute addictive, just by interacting via trade, it was re-played and again. Dominion had already integrated the addictive and makes even after 1000 games still fun. Even the rather unusual game of 2010, Dixit - a party game had, at least as long as a large replayability stimulus as long as you have played with very creative people. But Asara does not offer all that.
What ever you go in Asara? They want to build towers. And though most, the biggest, the longest. There are bases, spiers and centerpieces in different colors. Of these, in each round a certain number of which can be purchased over buyers. Buyers are cards in different colors. Is in a range, for example, the base region, once a buyer in one color need future buyers either have the same color or you have to put any two and then pay according to the color. This is done as long as occupied until all the places to buy, and the whole is repeated four rounds long, then will be charged. There are points for the largest and most and then again separately for each color in the same categories. Who then (these parts are eliminated) on the outside scoring track is the front wins.
Anyone who knows my other reviews here knows that I am open-minded about most games and always see the positive aspects and trying to work out the poor constructive. This reminds me of relatively heavy in this game, at least the positive aspects. I do not know quite who will be the target group for this game. For experienced players it is ever nothing, at least nothing that you would have to buy. For little players, it is quite useful, since it is relatively easy to explain, not hours and lasts really has any chance of winning. The only problem is that there are tens of other games that are similarly priced and take similar long that are just as suitable for little players, but make a lot more fun.
And that make the fun is not just my personal opinion but also customer feedback. Although Asara is praised everywhere, be it here or in the games journal Spielbox, or even now with the game of the year nomination, but is beyond me why. It is often the game is more than the sum of its parts. My opinion: it is not!
Conclusion:
My conclusion is relatively straightforward. Asara is a game works. Not more. Great gameplay evolves VLT. in the first few games, then it is always the same with no variation and that's the killer for most games. For Asara definitely. It is definitely a game that you can play with the whole family, because the claim is relatively low, but it is almost certainly also one that, for Christmas, is gathering dust at the latest in February in players matter. And honestly? From such games have most of us, myself included, are already enough at home.
