Find these vampires London was a great experience. Despite this long period since the release of the previous book, it is very easy to find Stella and these colleagues. Amber Dubois gives us enough markers to not be lost despite the time elapsed.
Thus I quickly found that these feelings were mine to heroin in the previous installment of the saga. Other recurring characters we are also transcribed and this greatly facilitates the return to London and these vampires we described the author.
At the beginning of the novel, little downtime with this unidentified creature who leaves the scene of his crime, abandoning a corpse on which we find a white rose. Simple detail we will tell us at the beginning. We think differently soon as and as the plot develops. Stella and Corwin discover the corpse and will want to investigate it because it is impossible for them to move to avoid fatal falling over. Quickly, he will prove that this scene refers to that of a vampire straight out of the past of London.
Stella will be severely tested throughout this novel. It will have to do with Drake advances that will help him in his task. I must say also that dialogue between the two characters are more fun with a touch of humor and a few more exchanges crispy.
Corwin also take a little more scope in this volume. The prince Rodrigue oscillate in our hearts following these behaviors. He will hate it just as it can be appreciated. The other vampires who might have a more important place in the other volumes are seen somewhat sidelined in this story. The revelations about these characters will be many and we will see some of them in a different light. They will also have their role to play in the plot.
The thread of history is seen the most successful and the ramifications of such a spider web, nothing is superfluous in this book. Every character, every revelation, every action and every mystery can not withdraw under penalty of disconnecting all and lose what makes this book more convincing.
The final is most unexpected and we takes guts. The situation is such that Stella did not escape unscathed. Doubts are many and we do not know which way to turn. The latest revelations lead us to ask us questions and to wait patiently for the next and final volume of London Sighs.
The pen of the author is always more bewitching and perfectly suited to this story in the London of the nineteenth century. She has matured since the first tome and this brings a lot to feel that we have in our reading. The pleasure is real and it transcribes so well her universe and characters that read this book without having read the previous volumes presents no constraint and this story can be a good way to discover the qualities of the author.
Marquise of Darkness is a little more vampiric jewel in my collection and is not to fade in comparison. Amber Dubois deserves to be a more important place in the fantasy world.
