On the one hand as a normal night vision variant, on the other hand as a daylight version without affecting the color representation (IR filter).
The interior of the cameras was easily. However, should be present for this basic knowledge of the network.
What might seam a little sharpness. In my opinion, this could be a little better or you would have to have the opportunity to adjust this as USB webcams (see Addendum). The manual will be useful for people with low networking knowledge a little too meager. However, if you consider what you get for the asking price, this little shortcoming is to forgive. Especially since the cameras have WiFi, have high image resolution and can unschalten between day and night vision, are hard to get under 500 euros.
Now for the positive things:
- The metal case is top and very stable.
- The processing makes a solid impression
- The phone service is exemplary and e-mails will be answered within 24 hours
- Shop the supplier INSTAR there are plenty of accessories
- The thread for the mounting corresponds to a standard thread as it is to be found in camera tripods. Thus, the camera can also be set up mobile unless a power supply is nearby.
- Registration with a DDNS service can be omitted, the camera brings its own Internet address. Live video can therefore be viewed from virtually anywhere 'and indeed' it works flawlessly.
- Firmware update possible
The alarm notification via e-mail, I have also tried.
If a movement is registered, 6 images (per 1 frame per second) to be sent to any e-mail address.
Pictured name even the time stamp (xxx = xxxxxxxxxxxx_20101029122030.jpg camera name, 2010 = year, 10 = month 29 = day, 123030 = HHMMSS) hides.
Very much nicer it is for the price barely.
Addendum:
You can adjust the sharpness of the camera manually. You must connect the camera to the PC, and then slide the top cover (anti-glare) forward from the camera. Then you can hold the camera back and front turn the front area. The camera can rotate apart so that you can easily come forward to the optics. Is carefully remove the IR board and now gently on the lens to the right or left until the image is sharp.
All parts together will again build (cost: less than 5 minutes) and you're done!
