The style of the scientific thriller is archi-operated in recent years, with its authors featured (Werber, Dan Brown ...). But H. Loevenbruck manages to hold its own in the game. Already because he has mastered the genre codes (journalistic accuracy, omnipresent outstanding, hunted or ambiguous characters, distilled information in dribs and drabs ...). But also because it makes the actors of his very human story, not hesitating to dive into their anxieties and their tortured past. For thriller fans, there are some that depth in the books of Grangé. But it is the only common point between the two authors, because you never falls here in the disturbing precision, almost gore JC Grangé. However the continued action keeps us in suspense throughout the novel.
Nevertheless, we feel a certain lack of achievement in general, which confine the book to very good (and thus the 4 stars here), linked perhaps to perfect an experience in writing such texts. We already feel an improvement with the style Copernicus syndrome (his next book, which I also recommend) ...
In short, this book is not a reference in itself, but just a good book that is worth reading. As for future trips, I look forward to!
