Between the curiosity of an immortal that nothing surprises and stubbornness of a young woman who refuses to be manipulated even die, the game is explosive.
The style is worked, complex and so much fun to read. Dark and poisonous when necessary, flexible and clear in the tender moments, I let myself be taken by the pen of the author. The world she created is fascinating and it is not better than to delve deeper still. The end has its share of surprises, even if we can not help but hope for a happy ending.
We find some other emblematic figures of the genre like Cat & Bones Jeaniene Frost, but I'd rather almost Elena and Raphael for the cruel side of the situation and their characters.
