The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (computer game)

Customer Review

Wow, what a graphical masterpiece. I do not know if it is my best game, the most beautiful in any case.
As stated in the description of "The Game lets every player his pace and compels no one to rush." Just something I've been looking for relaxation. It's just a dream to walk through this landscape. The falling leaves, the swaying trees, the billowy grass and flowers - everything is animated and very realistic. The landscape is not composed as from 50 stationary parts per copy paste. The details are so fantastic and varied. I as a landscape photographer remain are happy times and look at only the fascinating photo opportunities.
The game content is actually beside the point - I did not quite understand him.
one only hopes, the landscape would never end. To discover there are many. It is not bound by paths but can walk far through the animated forest. Of course, one must be guided by trails or abandoned railway lines.
The game is of course very resource hungry. At the beginning, I have the game can not start, even though I have an i7 processor and 8GB memory. I then started in windowed mode and 800x600 graphics settings in the game slowly trying hochzuschrauben what then worked (within certain limits).
I would have bought the game even for twice the price. 20 is nachgeschmissen.
Addendum:
Saving is evil. Not working properly. It does a number of things, but starts the next time an hour earlier again since a manual save is not possible and the automatic saving works by incomprehensible rules.
Nachtrag2:
It's a pity that they are comments in the game only in English, but you can read it in German. Direct helpful they are always rare. The start of the game has now improved by updates. Without vsynk and only the first stage of antialiasing are available with me, that the game in fullscreen - mode works. The story is here for me really beside the point. Experiencing the landscape above and below the earth is simply gigantic. The zombies in the mines have not been absolutely necessary.
Storing remains problematic. You have to solve a very tricky thing only often, so that the Siel is stored
But definitely a top game - madness!
