I was looking for a book of Montessori activities to be offered at home ... I flipped "Living Montessori thought at home" and at first I was disappointed because it n ' is not a book of activities. But in fact it's better than that. This is to explain to parents the approach of Maria Montessori, an end to the prejudices, the pillars of the practice (which are common sense), the benevolent parenting, foster a suitable environment ... The principles are described in the outline for all situations (sleep, feeding, playing, learning the politeness to name a few) were obtained among other tips to develop its own rules so as to promote this learning. So this book offers clear and concrete ideas while defining the well of Madame Montessori pedagogy. We do not feel obliged to do what is proposed (sleeping on the floor without crib, kitchen and bathroom equipped ...) and sometimes it's just impossible when housing is too small or we have a lot of business. Then we can perhaps dedicate a room or space for the child.
Some activities are given as examples throughout the book (cut oneself to oneself, sensory games ...)
As for crafts and other games to do it yourself, a simple search on pinterest this great name be enough to give you plenty of ingenious ideas to raise children.
