Toto XIV (LTD. Ecolbook Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Pro: -Bunte song mix with recognition value and variety.
-Compact Songwriting, but certainly with twists and downs
-The Songs are more wear-resistant and grow over time
Album has plenty of game time (almost 60 min.)

Cons:
-Sound Undynamic and too little crisp. Furthermore, the regulators are partially so that the sound at times distorted to stop. I thought it was a failure of my stereo.
-no hits and very little what hangs up (although could be an orphan, but rather in the 80's, not today)
-No More Simon Phillips (personal Contra)
-very much well-known material

Bottom line, a very musical album. The band is experienced, relaxed and professional. She has kept the love for beautiful arrangements and great tunes over the years. In this day and age Toto just do not have more chances from the early days. But the music is not inferior to that time. A song like Africa is indeed timeless, but so would hardly be a nowadays compose (want) - subjective thesis -
