Hossa, as the Finnish label "Svart Records" has but pulled a damn big fish ashore. "Thanks Peter!" one can only say. One thing is already more than sure: This band is the care in the near future for tremendous sensation! To describe the music of BEASTMILK aptly, the words of the reviewer can accept picturesque, almost lyrical proportions. On the front sticker of the "Climax" -Erstlings it meets the following quotation probably best: "Music for survivalists, Preparing for the End of the World". This incredibly talented quartet calls his sound just "Apocalyptic Post-Punk", and goes to this in a stylistic intersection that you sooo do not get very often heard. Because the 10 songs of BEASTMILK debuts are not only exceptionally - but especially exceptionally well! To fully unearth the roots of the 38-minute short, the listener must move at least 20 to 30 years in the music history back, and will then meet sooner or later on Dark pioneers like The Cure, KILLING JOKE, New Model Army or JOY DIVISION, whose deeply sad sound like a decal on the ten "Climax" songs sets. The rude punk vibes are brought out clearly in favor of the MISFITS from. BEASTMILK compose so narrowly on the border between dream and nightmare, between euphoria and despair, between tears of joy and everything zerschlagender depression that this album as an Oscar-mature feature film before the inner eye of the listener runs past. Each song is a musical gem that you must pull up with their bare hands in the dirty quagmire - and, despite all the barrenness, over and over and over again shines in the glare. Fantastic Dark / Rock / Wave / punk blockbusters like "Ghosts out of focus", "The wind blows through the skulls", "Love in a Cold World", "Nuclear winter" (no SODOM cover!), "Genocidal crush "and" Fear your mind "are captivating earwigs from the melancholy manual. As done for the last breath in the day of doomsday. And yet resonates in every second of the way too short playing time a pleasant looseness with ... a redeeming hope that gives the listener to understand ultimately that you still should plant a tree even in deserts apocalyptic scenario. The sound of "Climax" is sooo fancy and authentic unproduziert as if the Finns four-disc recorded within an hour in the locked nuclear bunker to leave a very last sign of life for future generations. With songs like the churning bouncer "Strange Attractors", "Death reflects us", "Surf the apocalypse" (yep!) And the brilliant Smasher "You are now under our control" rumble (wholly owned consent!) And BEASTMILK Schrammeln be without detours in the Hall of Fame of the greatest rock hopefuls. A purist masterpiece without weaknesses, its choruses you want out of sheer enthusiasm rausgröhlen - until the very last day when the world is in chaos, life comes to an end and the listener closes his eyes forever. With a smile on his face!
