Optimal this lens, however, is for
- Owner of the D700 or D3 variants and nat. the analog F3 / F4
- Compromise ready owner of D600 and D800 (the 1.4er is already extremely expensive and particularly in portraits is clarity not all)
- DX photographers who want to keep the way to full-size open (and prefer to take pictures as resolution charts compare)
- Action-packed motives in low light
- People who want to pull only with a lens lot and they want to stay inconspicuous (Street) or little weight hauling want (hike)
- (Full body) Portraits indoors when a 50 lack of space is often too long
- Photographers who want to use the lens also to Canon (with adapter) or with bellows or extension rings (then divorced from the recent G-lenses, because they have no aperture ring)
- People who like to change their lenses and love prime lenses
I use the Objketiv also happy for the stitching of panoramas (eg from the mountaintop from), at f 5.6 is in sharp focus at least. As good as the 1,4er or DX.
