Reinhard Mey's BEACON shows a certain wisdom, you can feel the positive maturity in every single song. So it comes in several pieces to everyday issues such as education ("Old Child"), or the ability of music for spiritual peace to care ("Give me music!"). Downright masterfully it understands Reinhard Mey historical events in a few stanzas to comprehensively describe how the life and work Lilienthal ("lily valley dream") or in "Kaspar" the story of Kaspar Hauser. In addition to fun songs like "Some Depp somewhere pierced ..." or "all the races" have again the serious pieces into place on the CD. Thus, animal welfare advocates ("animal police") or the lack of prospects for young people denounced ("Kati and Sandy"). The 15 songs offer love and suffering, telling stories and allow us to reflect. Point to the listener, what is really important in life but without let the humor come off badly. A really good album that even after a long time still fun. (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
