Great was the joy when yesterday arrived the small handy flexible tripod with me. Advertising for the stand with a load capacity up to 3 kg, it can be interesting for use on SLR cameras. I tested the tripod with the Canon EOS 30D with EF 100 Macro with a total weight of just under 1.5 kg. On a straight non-slip surface, the camera was held exactly. The ball head holds the camera well placed and does not yield. Unfortunately, the camera was now very sensitive to vibrations, because the focus of the design was not exactly on the ball head. Another circumstance may have also favored this unstable behavior: The rubberized exchangeable here trapezoidal and 4 cm long base plate, on which the camera is screwed, has a width of just 1 cm at the narrowest and 2.1 cm at its widest point. The manufacturer should make improvements. The same structure on my Tripod with Ball Head Manfrotto I had these vibrations not, since the base plate is made larger. Conclusion: only partially suitable for SLR, recommended for compact. The stand was ordered on Monday morning and delivered Wednesday afternoon. But thank you.
