Journey is like a beautiful, unobtrusive and quiet song. As an unforgettable poem. Journey is a metaphor and as such something packed in an incredibly complex game experience for 1.5 hours. Without too intense to enter into "story behind the story" and to spoil the gentle reader too: I'm 100% sure that everyone who plays the game and its metaphor recognize in all its facets, will be emotionally moving. I had to repeatedly cry ... and that's saying something actually with me ...;)
"Multiple" is a good word: The replayability is enormous, at least for me. They meet every time other people on his journey and their behavior makes every trip unique. So it happened that I played this "only" 1.5 hours extensive game with great friends currently the 50x ... that's more time than I have ever spent with any of my other video games.
About the numerous extras and not least the other two great games (but were less emotionally touching for me) has been reported. You complete the package wonderful and show the development of this young developer to clearly.
Yes: I'm a fan No:. This one may not be the most objective review of all time. But the game revolves around emotions and alone when I think, grabs me back the feeling of wanting to quickly launch the PS3 ...
In times in which the highest possible number of headshots or other use of force seems to be the goal of many developers and players, the nonviolent Journey is a wonderful refreshment.
Side note: I would play quite deem appropriate for children. However, it is most likely so that a child will not recognize the metaphor behind the journey through the desert, and thus miss the emotional core of the game ... but it will nevertheless have some fun. :)
