Given the fairly galtten and overproduced "X & Y" it is worth anno 2005 but by 5 years back on the fantastic band Coldplay in its initial phase to look. Back when she knew no man, they were still playing in small clubs, their songs were simple and they brought out a masterpiece "Parachutes". God, I sound melancholy, but it is true: "Parachutes" was at that time something new in the loud music world of the music industry. The Brtipop wave of the 90 had died, in the charts prevailed loud nu-metal bands, identical teen pop á la Britney and the Hip Hop boom began to act. All superficial music. "Parachutes" was then the alternative. Quiet, contemplative and somehow "real". Then packed: 10 masterpieces. Madness songs to dream, grief, love, suffering and drift. "Do not panic" sprayed equal to beginning a warm feeling, a feeling of security. "We live in a beautiful world," Chris Martin sings. And even though you actually know that it is not so, then one forgets it in this almost 2 minutes and you will feel the impact sicken songwriter. This is followed by a highlight after the next. "Shiver" is full of energy, "Spies" is rather bleak, "Sparks" incredibly intimate and sensual, "Yellow" the Love anthem par excellence. "Trouble" on the other hand is one of Coldplay's best ballads. The rest can be enjoyed without any problems. You feel good with this album, especially when a band at the end with "Everything's Not Lost" again dismisses into reality without emphasizing this: all this is not so bad. Yes, I go so far as to say that "Parachutes" the people's good and this plate with their simple songs and genuine feelings one can do very well. That was so, and is today still like that. Unfortunately Coldplay seem that magic due elaborate productions, large hall tours and countless prizes and have lost too much airplay well and they seem to have become almost the to what they formerly were the alternative. Unfortunately that is not ironic, but actually only pity and perhaps some understanding out there my wistfulness on this issue. But enough with the rambling and sobs ... In one sentence: "Parachutes" is one of the plates which each music connoisseurs should have standing in the closet! No ifs and buts. Thank you
