Nevertheless I downloaded "The Longest Holiday" The Day It was published and began to read about Laura (remember Will Trust's girlfriend?), Who has been cheated on by her husband, Matthew. The cheating is not the worst part, though, but you will find that out reading the book. Laura's girlfriends take her to Key West Where They Meet Leo who happens to live close to the hotel the girls are staying at. As a reader you think you know how the story goes on At That Point, but in fact, with Laura, Leo and Matthew You can never be sure.
"The Longest Holiday" is one of the best pieces of chick lit I have read so far. You've got characters who are not too obvious, you've got a breathtaking story. Even though I know what some of the critics here mean by "overdone dramatic twist" in the end, I was shellshocked When I Came To That point. Paige Toon even told her story from different points of view and That was what made the ending so deeply emotional.
I loved loved loved this book. I'd say I'd prefer it to all other Paige Toon novels so far - even Chasing Daisy, Which is linked to this one and what my favorite one up to now. So if you're into chick lit, you HAVE to read this book - "The Longest Holiday" is a masterpiece of its genre.
