this book is a masterful work on the origins of the 1st World War. almost day by day we follow the evolution of events, thoughts, strategies, development of all the paranoia, the territorial ambitions, in short, we finally understand why the war broke out when all the leaders wanted without wanting .when rulers believe themselves still in the nineteenth century when they actually hands the twentieth terror tools. The luxury retail and accuracy of the story sometimes make it a bit thick but it recovers and it becomes totally exciting.
