Scope of supply:
Included with the new Braun shaver flagship next to the shaving include even the power adapter, a cleaning brush, a travel case as well as the cleaning station incl. A cleaning cartridge. An instruction manual is a matter of course as well.
First Impression:
The shaver does make unpacking a very sophisticated look. The seeming to aluminum or chrome exterior is made of plastic, however. However, this in no way affects cheap, it also rattles nothing. As the plastic breaks remains to be seen in the long-term use, but I know from my 350cc no signs of wear. The back is rubberized and ensures that the 9090cc extremely well in the hand.
Although the exterior is always a matter of taste, I like it very well and the Shaver Look impressive.
The travel case I have not yet put into use, but the impression adapts to the shaver on. Not a cheap bag, but really suitable for safe storing when traveling. The only small drawback: the power cord must be stored elsewhere, the case almost really just the razor itself but that can get over..
Charging:
After unpacking and reviewing it first went to the store once the shaver. The whole thing can be accomplished either directly to the network cable or via the insertion into the cleaning station. I opted for the latter. In the beginning I had to fumble short because the power cord is not inserted horizontally as in my current station but is obliquely supplied from below. At first it seemed to me the disadvantageous because when inserted cleaning cartridge, the station should not be tilted, but off after two to three times and connect the cable was no longer an issue. This is purely a matter of practice or habitually.
Charging then designed, in fact, as promised by Brown very quickly. After one hour, the battery was full. The charging status is symbolized by means of a bar graph. The last nine minutes remaining to be represented as a number.
Shaving performance:
But now the most important thing, the shaving operation. Equal first I can say that the result is absolutely convincing.
The Scherelmente of 9090cc move extremely fast, much faster than with my 350cc. You hear the sound of one hand the razor - he hums audibly high-frequency - and you can see the shaving result. Even the first trip across the beard done much of the shaving. Of course you must not indulge in a once over it, all gone illusion. For a perfect result, I move the razor several times on each point and from different angles. The end result is excellent and I have never achieved with my 350cc so. The four elements of the shear 9090cc do excellent work, recorded with me all stubble and hair, thus ensuring a very close shave. For me in particular has provided excellent support to the neck of the movable shaving head that I knew so previously. However, if necessary this can be fixed easily. Above the lip I found helpful.
In the transition to the upper lip I drive inevitably slightly above lip. Here sometimes touch the two middle trimmer lip so that I thought at first I would have cut my lip. The whole thing was, however, only due to the vibrations. Something unpleasant feeling yet, although I am now used to it (but does not always occur).
The shaving head of the new Braun is significantly larger than my previous shaver and also over other Brown series. This is reflected in the time that I need to shave. The 9090cc I'm done much faster with shaving, of course, due to the precision of the shaving head.
Problems with redness (I have the 350cc times sometimes) I have not had during the trial period initially.
A pity, I find that the trimmer is a bit narrow. Here my 350cc has the edge. I use the trimmer happy for repairing the sideburns. When 350cc me once was enough attaching that I can not do more with the new Braun.
Class I find the switch-on of 9090cc. Brown looks for unintentional start for example in the case before. For me, this feature is valuable as a child lock. Since I have the razor open on the basin and the little ones are naturally curious, this is a good and useful function.
Cleanability:
Finally, a few words to the cleanability of 9090cc. The cleaning station doing a good job, cleans the shaver very good. I knew from my 350cc already. The stability of the new cleaning station is however better. The cleaning station of the 350cc wandered with me on the vanity that does not do the the 9090cc.
The new Braun shows how my previous Braun to the maturity of a cleaning. The 9090cc does this by means of a water drop icon on the display. At 350cc, the display was fairly reliable, the 9090cc it is not there. I was the need to clean displayed after each shaving, even after the first short-term use and then tapping of shaved (the razor looked like unused). That's nonsense, of course, even if Brown in the manual cleaning after each shave is recommended (the natural increases sales of cleaning cartridges). Necessary that is by no means and provides the only real lack of Braun 9090cc for me represents.
Conclusion:
A great razor which provides me perfect results. I am a bit sad that the trial period ends and the 350cc will be initially again my morning companion.
I give it 4.5 stars 9090cc, the star loses half the razor with his useless cleaning indicator. Since half stars are not possible, it remains at 4 stars.
