I can say that this book has responded to my expectations. Although I have not found the "easy" read Michel Clouscard explains very well in my opinion the evolution of the capitalism since the Marshall Plan and the inflence he had in our lives everyday. Its impact on the customs in order to "liberate" the people that he can consume without thinking back, the recovery by capitalism of all oppositions and their transformations in consumption (or materielle immaterielle), its power to the depths of the family. It is not a question of financial capitalism but capitalism of seduction! He who makes us consumers robots, consumption generant profits, often has large groups (companies) and which fed the financial capitalism, predator of all countries and all citizens.
Whether you are left or right (even if it does really mean anything these days), this book can give you the keys for reading and understanding of the world after World War II.
