If it is a work of Asimov, or even of the whole of science fiction, to read, it is indeed the foundation cycle. Consisting of 5 novels, this cycle described galactic history in the context of a declining empire. The cycle can be broken down into two parts: -The first consists of three first novels described thrilling political intrigue around which tied the future of the Galaxy; -The second consists of the last two novels tells a great galactic journey that is both a dive in the past and in the future of the Galaxy. In this last part of the cycle Foundation include many elements met or described in previous works of Asimov. Unmissable!
